Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny was jailed for 30 days by decision of the Moscow Simonovsky District Court. Navalny was arrested near his house on Monday before he could even make his way to the anti-corruption demonstrations, Meduza reported.

Navalny asked the court to postpone the consideration of the case because he and his lawyers had no opportunities to get acquainted with prosecution charges, but his request was rejected.
