pv magazine, which specializes in news about solar energy, published an article noting that the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR) plans to explore its potential of solar power.

“The government of the disputed region in South Caucasus, which is officially known as the Republic of Artsakh, announced it will conduct a study to assess its solar potential,” the article reads, in particular.

The writer of this article noted that this study was requested by NKR Prime Minister Arayik Haroutyunyan.

According to the article, the government of Armenian also supports the photovoltaic (PV) projects in Artsakh.

Armenia’s Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources has also published a call for tenders for a 55 MW solar power project in May.
