Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was surprised by concern of the US colleague Rex Tillerson over rapprochement between Russia and Turkey, RIA Novosti reported.

According to him, he does not see any aspects of Russian-Turkish cooperation, which can cause concern. He noted that Russia and Turkey are neighbors and they develop the bilateral cooperation, successfully overcoming a certain period of suspension of relations for the well-known reasons.

“Russia and Turkey, together with Iran and other countries are already working to resolve the Syrian crisis. I do not know, which aspect of our rapprochement Rex Tillerson is anxious about,” the minister said.
