As long as the line of contact exists in Nagorno-Karabakh and the parties’ positions remain irreconcilable and extremely opposite, there will be war there, sooner or later.

Russian political scientist Alexander Khramchikhin told the aforesaid to Armenian News- NEWS.am, as he commented on Azerbaijan’s latest provocation at the line of contact.

As per the analyst, as long as war has not begun, such clashes will continue there on a regular basis.

“I see no other alternative,” Khramchikhin added. “If, of course, one of the parties [to the Karabakh conflict] suddenly doesn’t give up for some reason; that is, it voluntarily doesn’t give up Karabakh.”

As reported earlier, the adversary on Saturday violated the ceasefire. As a result, four servicemen of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR) Defense Army have fallen.
