Motives of the crime committed in the Red Sea resort of Hurghada, are still unclear, TASS reported quoting representative of Egypt’s State Security Prosecutor's Office.

An investigation is underway.

A man armed with a knife attacked foreign tourists in one of the hotels in Hurghada, Egypt. Two German nationals were killed and other four women, including two Armenian nationals, were wounded.

The attacker who was arrested by police was later identified as 28-year-old Abdul Rahman Shams Shaaban.

Some Egyptian media outlets said he was supporter of ISIS ideology and lived according to Sharia law. Others say the reason for the attack was an argument.
