Seán Doran, a master of processing raw NASA images, has combined thousands of images of Moon from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter to get a photo that let you observe rich details of craters on the Moon, Mymodernmet reported (http://mymodernmet.com/100-megapixel-moon-photograph/)

Shawn posted full size photos on Fliсkr.  The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter images have a resolution of about 100 meters per pixel, said Doran. It seems as you flew to the Moon at a distance of 60 km from the surface when you look at the photo.

The images are usually taken flat.  Doran needed to take the images and map them onto a sphere using altimeter data.
