At least six people have been killed and dozens injured after an earthquake struck near the Iran-Iraq border, reported Sky News Arabia.
The tremor occurred on Sunday evening, and it measured magnitude 7.4 on the Richter scale.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre informed that the epicenter of this seismic activity was 32km north of the Iranian town of Sarpol-e Zahab, and 100km southeast of the Iraqi town of Sulaymaniyah.
The hypocenter of this quake was 10km beneath the surface.
