During the news conference after their talks in Sochi, Russia, Russian and Turkish presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that they discussed the means to lift the remaining restrictions on the supply of several goods, reported TASS Russian News Agency.

“The import [into Russia] of a number of products from Turkey has resumed,” Putin said, in particular. “Today, we discussed the joint events to lift the restrictions on other agricultural products.”

The Russian president recorded the virtual complete restoration of Russian-Turkish economic relations, which is confirmed by the growing turnover.

“There are all grounds to believe that we will be able to fully compensate for the decline of last year,” Putin added, and he linked this progress to the joint lifting of the sanctions and trade barriers.
