Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said he currently does not consider himself as a candidate for president of Russia, Gazeta.ru reported.

“ I do not consider myself as a candidate for president in the current political season, but I will continue to work, of course,” said Dmitry Medvedev in an interview with Russian TV channels, asked  whether he is ready to contest the presidential elections.

The Prime Minister noted the United Russia party would support Russian President Vladimir Putin if he decided to participate in elections.
