YEREVAN. – Arriva transport company of the Czech Republic is interested in the single public transport network project in Armenia. 

Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia, Vahan Martirosyan, on Monday received Czech Ambassador Petr Mikyska, and Arriva CEO Daniel Adamka.

The ambassador presented to the minister the Czech track-record on transport system operation and Arriva’s respective part, and expressed the hope that they can start mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Arriva CEO, for his part, gave details of this company’s activities, and expressed a wish to be included in the transport system implementation plan in Armenia.

Martirosyan, in turn, noted that the transport system management of Armenia is planned to be changed, and that he will be happy if Arriva also were to take part in the competition for a pilot project that is planned in one of the provinces of Armenia.

Also, the minister proposed to submit a plan, and then to continue the discussions on specific directions of cooperation.
