Russia’s prosecutor demanded a 10-year imprisonment and 500-million ruble fine for the ex-minister of economic development Alexey Ulyukayev, Gazeta reports.

Ulyukayev is charged of taking bribes, the maximum term of punishment is 15 years of imprisonment. The prosecutor asked to exclude extortion charges, believing that he was guilty of only taking a bribe of $ 2 million.

The prosecution requests that the time spent by the ex-minister under house arrest to be taken into account during the sentence. Nonetheless, he should be deprived of state awards and the rank of actual state adviser. Also, the prosecutor demands to prohibit Ulyukaev from holding any public office for 10 years after the completion of his sentence.
