Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei described the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli regime’s capital as a sign of weakness and incompetence, warning that the Zionists would be dealt a severe blow if such a move is taken, Tasnim reported.

According to him, the decision by the enemies of Islam to recognize the Palestinian city of Jerusalem as the capital of the Zionist regime of Israel results from impotence and frustration.

“The Islamic world will definitely stand against this plot and the Zionists will receive a bigger blow in that case (if Jerusalem is announced as the capital of occupied Palestine),” Ayatollah Khamenei underlined in a meeting with top Iranian officials.

The enemies’ ultimate objective behind the creation of Takfiri terrorist groups was to wage a war between Shiite and Sunni Muslims, the Leader underscored, saying, however, that such a religious war will never break out. At the same time, Ayatollah Khamenei made it clear that Iran has no intention of looking for rifts with Muslim governments.
