The European Union gave the British government 72 hours to reach agreements on British withdrawal from the EU, said European Commission spokesman Margaritis Schinas on Thursday, Sky News reported.

“We stand ready to receive Prime Minister May at any moment in time when they are ready,” said Margaritis Schinas, adding that “in order to meet the December summit, the UK was given a 10-day deadline on 24 November. That ran out last Monday. The new deadline is this Sunday.”

As reported earlier, the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk gave the UK ten days to progress on all issues of British withdrawal from the European Union.
