US Geological Survey said an earthquake measuring from 4.9 to 5.4 occurred on Thursday in Iran, Gazeta reported.

In total, four hypocenters were found: in Mehran province, Kerman and two in Mandali.

The most powerful earthquake, measuring 5.4, occurred in Mehran. The hypocenter of this tremor was 10km beneath the surface. There is no data on victims.

Fifty one people were injured at the previous powerful earthquake in Iran.
