YEREVAN. – Considering the concerns among public and political circles regarding the price rises of some products as well as the President’s respective proposals, parliamentary hearings on the reasons for the price increase of these products and the avenues for reducing inflation in Armenia will be held on January 23, at the National Assembly.

NA Chairman Ara Babloyan on Monday stated about the aforesaid at the start of the four-day session of Parliament.

Under the new Tax Code that entered into force on January 1, the tax rates of several products—including the excise taxes of diesel fuel, gasoline, and natural gas—have increased in Armenia; and as a result, the prices of these products have gone up in the country.
