YEREVAN. – Even though electricity consumption in Armenia has dropped by about 10 percent in the first days of this year, as compared with last year, production in the country has increased by 20 percent because exports have increased by virtually 100 percent.

Hayk Harutyunyan, Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources, on Tuesday stated the above-said at the National Assembly, as he introduced the respective bill.

“That is, if [Armenia] we have a good working market and good trade relations with neighboring countries, we can use our production capacities more effectively,” Harutyunyan explained.
