Belgrade suspended the political dialogue with Pristina in Brussels. The Serbian delegation leaves Brussels after Kosovo Serb leader Ivanovic was shot dead in Kosovo, TASS reported.

“This is an attack on the entire Serbian people,” said the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric.

Belgrade believed that Ivanovic’s killing was “an act of terrorism” to destabilize the situation in Kosovo and Metohija.

Kosovo Serb political party leader Oliver Ivanovic has been jailed for nine years for war crimes, convicted of ordering the murder of ethnic Albanians in Mitrovica in April 1999. The verdict of the court of first instance was abolished in February 2017. From April 2017 he was allowed to defend himself in court
