YEREVAN. – Bulgaria is of great importance for the EU in the strategic perspective. This was stated by the head of the EU delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Peter Switalski, on January 17, during a briefing organized by the Bulgarian embassy in Yerevan, dedicated to the country's first presidency in this organization.

According to him, the presence of the Ambassador of Bulgaria at the briefing demonstrates the complexity and seriousness of the current EU agenda.

Piotr Switalski said that EU member states have great expectations from Bulgaria's successful chairmanship in the EU, since this success comes from the interests of the EU itself, as well as of countries like Armenia. He also added that the successful presidency of Bulgaria would overcome the existing problems, leading the way to building a strong Europe.

According to the Ambassador, such a Europe will be more useful for Armenia.
