Last year photographer and traveler from Spain Alex Domenech spent five days hitchhiking through the Nagorno-Karabakh region, and saw the consequences which left the war in this region, Business Insider reported.

Alex Domenech told about his trip to Business Insider website and  presented a series of photos taken in Karabakh.

"Though he was staying in the guesthouse of the home, he would often have breakfast with the family that was hosting him. A typical breakfast included bread, butter, eggs, and homemade jam," the article noted. "Though the city suffered damage during the Nagorno-Karabakh War in the late 1980s, Domenech told us it stood significantly recovered and rebuilt during his visit. Domenech got to know the locals, who would often invite him in for lunch or for coffee."

"I found the people there to be some of the warmest and most hospitable," Domenech said.
