YEREVAN. – Armenia is in first place in the world in the number of vehicles operating on compressed natural gas (CNG).
Mkrtich Tigranyan, director of a company that specializes in testing, installation and certification of CNG cylinders, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Monday.
As per the expert, there are about 300 thousand vehicles in Armenia that operate on CNG.
“With this indicator, Armenia is in first place in the world,” Tigranyan added. “Therefore public transit is cheaper [in Armenia] than in other countries.”
