Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a statement following his meeting with the Pope.

According to Turkish Milliyet, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he had a useful meeting with thePope. 

He emphasized that besides the status of Jerusalem, which was the main topic of the discussion, global and regional issues were also discussed.

"I also had an opportunity to inform the Pope that Turkey is sensitive towards the Armenian Genocide issue," Erdogan said.
