YEREVAN. – Iran has established good cooperation with Armenia in the energy sector, Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Seyed Kazem Sadjadi told reporters at the Yerevan State University.

The ambassador attended on Monday the opening ceremony of a lecture hall of the Iranian studies.

Iranian ambassador expressed hope that the third high-voltage power transmission line between Armenia and Iran will be operational in the near future.

According to him, Armenia will receive gas from Iran in exchange for electricity.

“We are ready to sell gas to Yerevan at affordable prices. This issue is being discussed, and I hope that the progress will be achieved soon,” the diplomat concluded.
