Representatives of the Armenian Students Association at California State University Northridge held a silent protest on Tuesday in memory of the Armenian Genocide victim in Ottoman Turkey, which killed 1.5 million Armenians.

This annual protest, called “stain of denial”, is held by  Armenian Students Association at at the universities of California, at Yale University, the universities of Australia and Europe.   

“The genocide didn’t happen in one day so what we’re trying to do is shine a light on the fact that it’s not just one day we should be commemorating,” Araz Maleky, president of the Armenian Student Association chapter at CSUN. “We want to bring awareness.”
