US special services do not recommend Americans to use Chinese Huawei smartphones, CNBC reported.

According to the source, FBI, CIA, NSA and the National Intelligence fear that the gadget maker and the Chinese telecommunications company ZTE are working for Chinese government.

“That provides the capacity to exert pressure or control over our telecommunications infrastructure. It provides the capacity to maliciously modify or steal information. And it provides the capacity to conduct undetected espionage,” FBI Director Chris Wray said.

Huawei, in its turn, stated that the company “poses no greater cybersecurity risk than any ICT vendor.”
