YEREVAN. – Madagascar is impressed with the rate of economic growth in Armenia, said Madagascar’s Foreign Minister Henry Rabary-Njaka at a joint press conference with the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian in Yerevan on Friday.

According to him, Madagascar is ready to follow Armenia’s lead.

“We are interested in Armenian experience. You are cooperating with a 180 million Eurasian economic market,” the minister said.

Henry Rabary-Njaka highlighted Armenian tourism opportunities.

“Madagascar has 5% of the world's biodiversity, particularly endemic species. We need such a friendly country like Armenia, which has the experience of tourism. Come and discover Madagascar. We can also implement programs together,” the minister said.

Edward Nalbandian, in his turn, noted that trade statistic indicators are low.

“That is why we decided to give an impetus to the relationship. Relations between our countries have been established since Soviet era,” said Armenian Foreign Minister.
