YEREVAN. – Along the lines of the 15th meeting of the Armenian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission, and which was convened in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia, Ashot Manukyan, met with a delegation from Iran, and which was led by Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian.

Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned the above-said from the information and public relations department of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia.

The interlocutors conferred on the course of joint projects and the opportunities for new investment projects of mutual interest for both Armenia and Iran.

They reflected also on Armenian-Iranian cooperation in environment protection, and Minister Manukyan expressed readiness to continue the relevant joint activities.

The parties exchanged views also on the investment program for the construction of Armenia’s “Meghri” Hydroelectric Power Plant, and they reached an agreement on convening a talk in Tehran in the near future to attract additional financial resources for this project.
