YEREVAN. – Armenian consumer market’s inflation jumped to 2.7 percent, in January 2018, the National Statistical Service reported.

January inflation was triggered by the rise of food prices up to 5.7 percent. Prices of non-food products rose by 1.5 percent, while tariff growth was 0.2 percent.

January inflation resulted mainly from the rise of fruit prices by 10 percent and vegetables by 34.3 percent, as well as 17-21% increase in the prices of gasoline and diesel fuel.
