STEPANAKERT. – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR), Masis Mayilian, on Monday received a delegation from Bouc-Bel-Air, France, and led by Mayor Richard Mallié.

First, Mayilian expressed gratitude to Mallié for his principled and consistent stance on the establishment and development of decentralized cooperation with the NKR town of Askeran, the Artsakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. The Declaration of Friendship between Askeran and Bouc-Bel-Air was signed in November 2014.

Also, the FM noted that cooperation between the towns of Artsakh and France is an important constituent of the Republic of Artsakh’s policy on the development of international relations. In this context, Masis Mayilian stressed the importance of the development of Francophonie in Artsakh, in terms of creating conditions for getting familiarized with the French language and culture.

The mayor of Bouc-Bel-Air, in turn, expressed readiness to expand relations between the two peoples. In this connection, the interlocutors exchanged views on the practical aspects of cooperation and the implementation of projects of mutual interest.
