The U.S. Air Force A-29 Super Tucano crashed in the state of New Mexico, about 65 miles north of Holloman, Air Force Times reported. 

The incident occurred at Red Rio Bombing Range, at about 11:30 a.m. The pilot was injured and hospitalized.

A-29 Super Tucano is modification of the Brazilian light turboprop aircraft EMB-314 Super Tucano, designed for the US Air Force. The Pentagon uses it as an airplane for flight training, reconnaissance and air support for troops.
