The economic vision of our government is turning the Republic of Armenia into a high-tech country.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is on a two-day visit to France, on Friday said the abovementioned at his meeting with members of the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF), in Paris.

“We want to turn Armenia from an agrarian country into a high-tech country, and (…), in essence, its prerequisites are created,” he stressed, in particular. “Today, Armenia is at a very low place at the level innovations, whereas [at a] very high [place]—in terms of the innovation abilities of the people.”

Also, the PM invited all investors to come and take part in the expected economic “flight” of Armenia.

“The IT sector is dynamically developing [in Armenia],” Pashinyan said. “Companies engaged in the high-tech production industry already have some interest [in the country].”

In addition, the PM guaranteed that his government is inclined to resolving all matters through open and honest discourse, and highlighted that the success of any economic activity in Armenia is the success of the country’s government and the Armenian people.
