Armenia ranks 83rd among 189 countries and territories in the latest Human Development Index (HDI), the UN Development Programme (UNDP) said in a report released on Sept. 14.

At the same time, Norway, Switzerland and Australia were among the top three countries with the highest level of Human Development Index.

The top ten also included Ireland, Germany, Iceland, Hong Kong, Sweden, Singapore and the Netherlands. 

Russia was on the 49th place, Belarus - on the 53rd, Turkey on the 64th, Georgia on the 70th, Azerbaijan on 80, Ukraine - on the 88th.
