Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday received the chairpersons of the central banks of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member countries, and who have arrived in Armenia to attend the events marking the 25th anniversary of the country’s national currency, the dram.

Pashinyan noted that despite the recent nonviolent velvet revolution in Armenia, the dram has continued to maintain its stability.

Also, the Armenian PM underscored close cooperation between the central banks of the EAEU countries.

In addition, the Premier expressed the hope that productive and constructive discussions will continue between the heads of financial organizations.

The chairpersons of the central banks of the EAEU countries, for their part, presented to the PM the steps aimed at further expansion of cooperation.

The interlocutors exchanged views also on the avenues for conducting mutual calculations within the EAEU framework, with the national currencies of the member countries.

The Eurasian Economic Union comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
