The precautionary measure against Masis town mayor Davit Hambardzumyan has been commuted to a signature bond to not leave Armenia.

Tigran Atanesyan, the attorney of Hambardzumyan, told the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The first instance court has granted our motion and selected as precautionary measure a signature bond—with the application of a 5mn dram [approx. US$10,300] bail—to not leave,” the attorney said. “Davit Hambartsumyan will be released once the bail is posted.”

Masis mayor Davit Hambartsumyan and his brother, Gor Hambartsumyan, were detained on July 7, and in connection with the criminal case into the hooliganism that had occurred in Erebuni district of capital city Yerevan, on April 22.
