YEREVAN. – The new Ambassador of Sweden to Armenia, Ulrik Tideström—with diplomatic residence in Georgia’s capital city of Tbilisi, on Monday presented his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Garen Nazarian.

First, Nazarian congratulated the ambassador on his appointment, and wished him a productive activity aimed at the expansion of cooperation between the two countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Also, the deputy FM underscored Sweden’s participation in the strengthening Armenia-European Union relations, and he thanked for its support in the processes aimed at achieving sustainable development in Armenia.

And at the request of the Swedish diplomat, Garen Nazarian spoke about the process to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict, as well as regional developments.

Ambassador Tideström, for his part, lauded the Armenia-Sweden cooperation, and assured that he will make consistent efforts toward making relations between the two countries become closer.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors reflected on the reforms that have gained new impetus in Armenia, and discussed a wide range of matters that are on their bilateral agenda.
