YEREVAN. – These are rumors, unless they are confirmed by facts.

Armenia’s Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan, who is also the Luys (Light) Alliance’s mayoral candidate in Sunday’s snap election for the capital city Yerevan Council of Elders,  stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Tuesday. He noted this with respect to the National Assembly “Way Out” (Yelk) Faction MPs’ statements regarding reports on buying of votes ahead of the election.

“Those statements have remained unconfirmed,” Zeynalyan said. “The police are working in that direction.”

Also, he stressed that unprecedented legislative amendments have been made, and which are “unprecedented not solely at the level of the Republic of Armenia, but, also, it still isn’t in many countries, and the Republic of Armenia has become an example.”
