Elections will be held in November in the United States, and representatives of the Armenian American community also are running in the voting.

The Voice of America Armenian Service spoke with American Armenian Mari Manoogian, the Democratic Party nominee for State Representative in Michigan House District 40, regarding her respective campaign. In August, she had won in the preliminary elections of the Democratic Party.

The young candidate’s team is carrying out an active campaign, and under the slogan, “Mari for MI [Michigan].”

She underscores community unity in order to give appropriate solutions to problems.

Manoogian is confident that this time they will succeed in changing the status quo at their election district.

Mari Manoogian finds that her election can be a good stimulus for young Armenian Americans to get more actively involved in American public life and service sector.
