Delegation headed by Armenian Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan left for Tajikistan on a two-day working visit to participate in the 28th session of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of the Commonwealth of Independent States on September 20.

During the annual session, prosecutors will exchange their experience on positive dynamics in different spheres, as well as will discuss the legality of pre-trial proceedings, the practice of implementing international treaties in the fight against crime.

The sides are expected to focus on the process and effectiveness of implementation of joint programs over terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking, human trafficking, illegal migration, cybercrime and anti-corruption, existing challenges and the prospects of joint countermeasures.

The current state of protection of the citizens’ rights and approaches to deepening cooperation in this field, as well as assessment of the results of joint activities of the previous years are also on the agenda.
