China urged the US to show respect and denied accusations of President Donald Trump about Beijing's interference in the midterm elections in the US, NDTV reported.

"Anyone who has some knowledge of China's diplomacy will know that we will not interfere in other countries' domestic affairs. We don't want others to interfere in our domestic politics, and we will not interfere in the domestic politics of others," Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang  said.

He also rejected Trump's claim China was manipulating the renminbi exchange rate to compensate for the impact of US duties on Chinese exports.
