North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has sent two tons of pine mushrooms to South Korean President Moon Jae-in to commemorate their meeting in Pyongyang, WSJ reported referring to Moon's top press secretary.

According to him, the mushrooms will be sent to all separated families that have yet to be reunited with their loved ones in the North.

"I hope the mushrooms, with the scent of North Korea intact, may offer some condolence," Moon was quoted as saying.

Moon Jae-in came back to Seoul after his two-day visit to North Korea.

Leaders of North and South Korea signed a joint statement on inter-Korean relations after their summit.
