Turkey intends to use local currencies for bilateral trade with Venezuela, said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

"We are so keen actually to use local currencies in our bilateral trade, not only between Turkey and Venezuela, but also between Turkey and other countries,” TRT World reported quoting Mevlut Cavusoglu.

According to him, Turkey opposes that any states use their currency as an instrument of influence on the economies of other countries, while Turkish authorities faced such pressure, but managed to resist and took all necessary measures to stabilize the economy.
