YEREVAN. – Gevorg Hovsepyan, the mayoral candidate of Armenia’s Hayq (Hayqazunis) Party, believes he has quite a good chance in succeeding in Sunday’s snap election for the capital city Yerevan Council of Elders.

“I have no doubts that we [Hayq Party] will record fairly good indicators,” Hovsepyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. “I voted for Yerevan, so that the Armenian, who has rediscovered his former image, will live just as his forebears had entrusted to him.”

The mayoral contender added that should he not win in the voting, he stands ready to congratulate the winner and even provide to the latter his program to more effectively administer over Yerevan.
