YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on Friday met with Wess Mitchell, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, on the sidelines of the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The FM briefed the assistant secretary of state on the recent political and democratic developments in Armenia, and the priorities of the program of the country’s new government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The sides expressed willingness to intensify their political discourse, and exchanged views on further deepening trade and economic cooperation and Armenia’s development agenda.

Also, the interlocutors reflected on several regional and international matters, as well as on the efforts—within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs—to pacifically resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict.
