STEPANAKERT. – Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR NA), Ashot Ghulyan, on Saturday received president Ara Babloyan of the NA of Armenia.

During their brief private conversation, they discussed interparliamentary cooperation, Armenia’s political developments, and health care, the Artsakh NA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Subsequently, an extended meeting was convened between the parliamentary delegations from the two Armenian republics.

In his welcoming remarks at the talk, Ghulyan underscored the close cooperation between the two parliaments. Babloyan also attached importance to the development of ties between the two legislatures, and the raising of the role of parliaments.

The discussants reflected on the current political situation in Armenia and possible developments, as well as health care, interparliamentary cooperation, and parliamentary diplomacy.

After the meeting, the speaker of Armenia’s NA visited the capital city Stepanakert Memorial where he placed flowers in memory of those who fell during the Karabakh War.
