YEREVAN. – I will deliver an address on that matter.

Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian on Thursday told the aforesaid to reporters at Aznavour Center, in capital city Yerevan. The President noted this when asked whether he was going to sign the controversial bill which the country’s parliament had passed, and with respect to making amendments to its rules of procedure.

“Everything that concerns the events which took place in Armenia—in connection with the National Assembly—I have stated that the only road is the road of dialogue, negotiations, arrangements within the boundaries of the law, lawfulness, and of course, the Constitution,” Sargsyan stressed, in particular.

On October 2, the National Assembly (NA) passed the controversial bill on making amendments to the NA rules of procedure. But as per Prime Minister Pashinyan and the NA “Way Out” (Yelk) Faction, this proposed law will enable to prevent the holding of a snap parliamentary election once the PM resigns from office.
