YEREVAN. – The 17th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) has wrapped up Friday in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

The Yerevan Declaration was adopted with the results of this high-level meeting. 

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented the results of the election for the next OIF Secretary-General, and accordingly, Louise Mushikiwabo, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Rwanda, was elected to this office, Press Office of the Government of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am

Pashinyan lauded now former OIF chief Michaëlle Jean’s activities in this capacity, and congratulated Mushikiwabo for being elected to this post. The Armenian PM wished her success in the mission she has assumed, and expressed the confidence that Louise Mushikiwabo will contribute to the further development of this organization.
