An international conference devoted to Armenians within the cultural, economic, and political processes is underway Monday in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

The event will be held until Thursday, during which scholars and researchers from the Baltic states as well as Central and Eastern European countries will deliver reports.

More than sixty researchers from numerous other countries also will attend this symposium.

The discussants are expected to explore the Diaspora Armenian community’s track-record of coexistence with other peoples of the region as well as Armenia’s historical and geographical relations with other countries of the region, and to assess the role of Diaspora Armenian communities.
