Apple Inc has acquired music analytics start-up Asaii for $100 million, Reuters reported.

According to the source, this purchase will strengthen content recommendations to Apple music users.

Asaii has developed technology using artificial intelligence and machine learning. The company's algorithm analyzes data from popular social networks, as well as from Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube and SoundCloud services, helps to highlight the most popular songs, but also to find little-known talented artists.

In late September, Apple announced the completion of the acquisition of the Shazam service, which allows recognition of compositions and images.
