YEREVAN. – Armenia will participate in an international film festival that will be held at Dohuk Governorate in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Turkologist and Eastern Studies specialist Karen Hovhannisyan informed the abovementioned at a press conference on Saturday.

The specialist informed that four Armenian films will be screened at this event.

“The films will be shown with either English or Kurdish translation,” Hovhannisyan added.

The Eastern Studies specialist noted that an official representative from Armenia—the deputy minister of culture—will visit Iraqi Kurdistan for the first time.

In his words, aside from attending this international film festival, the deputy minister will also participate in the events which the local Armenian community will hold.
