YEREVAN. – We expect that we definitely will win the parliamentary elections.

Armenia’s acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday told the aforementioned to reporters, in connection with the forthcoming snap election for the National Assembly.

“But in general, our focus isn’t on our own power, but is on the people’s power,” he added. “We said and say that we have no power in Armenia; power in Armenia belongs to the people.”

In Pashinyan’s view, the draft amendments to the country’s election law aim to simplify it, and he sees no problem with respect to respective timeframe.

Also, the acting PM noted that he is not the one who shall picture anyone as the opposition, or the power.

“Voters shall do that,” Nikol Pashinyan added. “And I consider my function to be to create an opportunity for the voter’s free expression of will; let the voters decide the rest. [But] of course, equal conditions shall be created for all political forces [in Armenia].”
