San Diego Comic-Con President John Rogers died of brain cancer, NBC San Diego reported

John Rogers had been fighting glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. According to San Diego Comic-Con International, Roger was first elected as president of Comic-Con in 1986 and was re-elected every year since, making him the longest-serving president of the pop culture convention.

Comic-Con is an international festival, which is being held in San Diego annually since 1970.
